Course description: Despite recent challenges to the Mauritius International Financial Centre, Mauritius remains an important platform for cross-border investments. This course is aimed at junior law practitioners who have an interest in corporate and/or tax law. We will cover legal and tax structuring of cross-border transactions in more detail and will address the following topics: the 2018 tax and regulatory reform of global business companies, choice of legal vehicle, key aspects of constitutive documentation and achieving tax efficiency.
