Course Synopsis:

The course will provide an overview of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), whereby  the following topics will be discussed:

Definition the child as per Article 1 of the  CRC , Monitoring HR implementation of human rights standards - the Committee on the Rights of the Child, Requirement of submission of initial report, Other sources of information available to the Committee, Formal consideration of the report : constructive dialogue between the treaty body and the state party, Concluding observations and recommendations and Implementation of concluding observations and submission of the next periodic report.
